Snow Day Professional Development

We had a snow day on Wednesday, so Cheryl, Bob and I did a Seedlings@BitbyBit podcast. We used the chat room at Webcast Academy. I guess I forgot to log out, because next thing I knew, I had a little IM window saying “Hi Alice!” It was one of the math teachers at my school. He had seen my Twitter for the Seedlings podcast, but was late. However, what followed was about 20 minutes of quick chat and we discussed some tools that he could explore for the day. I also recommended Teachers Teaching Teachers (see show #90) for the evening because Susan and Paul were going to have some math teachers that were using Voicethread. And Boy did he take off! Thursday he was so excited and by this weekend has already been in contact with the Voicethread math teachers. He was ready and the way he took advantage of the anytime learning was amazing. Now what if we could do that all the time?
