Friday I had lunch with Ernie Easter who teaches in a very small school in Maine. He brought his students to the MLTI Student Tech Team Conference. He told me about a project they are working on about human rights issues such as the genocide in Darfur and the Holocaust. The express purpose is for students and their teachers to share ideas and resources through their blogs and forum discussions. He has set up a ning as a way to collaborate and says “It will give students a place to display their work as well as teachers sharing their curriculum.” They would love to have other classes join in the discussion.
